Rail&Fly

Book a Rail & Fly ticket in just a few steps

Save yourself the congestion on the motorway, the annoying search for a parking space and the high parking fees! Instead, travel relaxed and cheaply by train to and from the airport Germany-wide. In cooperation with Deutsche Bahn, Germania offers its customers an arrival service and homeward journey service to the destination station.

It's as easy as:

  1. Select Rail & Fly at your German departure or arrival airport.
Enter your travel details in the flight search and confirm your selection by clicking on the button "Find flights". In the next step, the code "QYG" (it stands for the German railway stations) appears in the flight selection in connection with your chosen departure or destination airport.

  2. Find out about the travel times of your train connection.
Please note: The dates listed on the booking confirmation do not contain any information about your train connection on the day of travel. Find out about your actual connection details in DB ticket offices, under www.bahn.de, or with the "DB Navigator" app.

Each traveller is responsible for their timely arrival at the airport. Therefore, select the train connection that reaches the departure airport no later than 2 hours, and when travelling to Lebanon and Israel no later than 3 hours, before the scheduled departure.

  3. Pick up your train ticket shortly before departure.
The train ticket can be issued 72 hours before departure at the earliest:

    • at a DB ticket machine - enter the pickup number contained in the booking confirmation, or
    • via the website www.accesrail.com/checkin, select whether you want to print the ticket conveniently on the PC or load it as a mobile ticket on your smartphone.

Please note that a Rail & Fly ticket is valid for one person and one route only.

  4. Take all the necessary documents for your train journey.
For the train journey you absolutely need the following 3 documents:

    • the issued Rail & Fly ticket
    • the e-ticket (ticket receipt) sent by e-mail and printed by you
    • your valid identity card and/or passport.

If the documents can not be presented in full, the Rail & Fly ticket will become invalid and the train ticket must be purchased at the standard price.
