Germania Offers More Destinations from Zurich This Winter

11/01/2018 - Zurich

Glattbrugg, November 1, 2018 – Today marks the start of Germania’s winter 2018/2019 season. From now until the end of April 2019, it will be offering up to 18 flights a week from Zurich to a total of 11 destinations.

The airline with the green-and-white livery will be focusing on the Spanish islands in particular. For the first time this winter, Germania will be offering one flight a week to Tenerife, on the Canary Islands. It has also increased the number of flights to Gran Canary to twice a week, and will continue to offer weekly flights to Fuerteventura and La Palma. With their warm, sunny climate, the Canary Islands are an especially popular tourist destination in the winter months.
Germania has added more flights to Majorca as well: The airline will fly to the Balearic Island throughout the winter season, with more flights added around the holidays and from February/March – up to four a week. This means the number of flights to Majorca is twice the number offered in the 2017/2018 winter season.
Another highlight this winter: Germania is once again offering flights to the Portuguese island of Madeira, which is located in the Atlantic. The Flower Island, as it is also known for its stunning flora, is a popular destination for active travelers.

Moreover, in the coming months, Germania will be setting its sights on Egyptian destinations on the Red Sea coast. The airline will be flying to Hurghada three times a week, and once a week to both Marsa Alam and Sharm el-Sheikh. These vacation spots in Egypt are particularly popular for travelers who enjoy water sports or simply soaking up the sun.
Last, but not least, Germania is offering flights to Agadir, Morocco, as well as Beirut, Lebanon, and is the only airline carrying out nonstop flights from Zurich to both of these cities.

And by the way: Germania passengers who have a long drive home from the airport can rent a car from Hertz at a discount to take them from any location in Switzerland to Zurich Airport and back. After booking your flight, simply click “Booking” on www.flygermania.com to see our partner offers. The “Drive & Fly” offer that we added in spring 2018 is perfect for travelers who live far from the airport and have an early-morning departure or a late-night arrival because it means you no longer need to spend a night in a hotel or pay for expensive long-term parking.
