Fly to Albania with Germania: New Service from Dusseldorf to Tirana

11/15/2018 - Berlin

As well as popular holiday spots around the Mediterranean, out-of-the-ordinary destinations off the beaten tourist track have always been very important for Germania. The new route to Tirana is also primarily aimed at people travelling to visit friends and family. Claus Altenburg, Director Sales at Germania: “For passengers interested in routes away from the traditional warm-weather destinations, we also offer our usual high-quality product: reliable scheduled flights with extensive complimentary in-flight services. We are therefore very successful in this segment and have established a loyal customer base, which we are now aiming to expand with our flights to Albania.”

According to current plans, Germania will fly to 18 destinations from Dusseldorf in summer 2019. Four of its green and white liveried aircraft are stationed there. As well as Tirana, next year's summer schedule also includes Paphos in Cyprus, the Canary island of La Palma, the Greek island of Samos and several destinations in Turkey. On all flights, passengers can enjoy Germania's usual full-service offer: snacks, soft drinks and magazines are always included in the ticket price, as is a hot meal on longer flights. The free checked baggage allowance is 20 kilos per passenger – even up to 25 kilos on selected routes, such as from Dusseldorf to the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.

One-way tickets for flights with Germania from Dusseldorf to Tirana are available from 89 euros on the Internet at www.flygermania.com or via Germania’s smartphone app, by phone on +49 30 610 818 000 (standard German rates apply, mobile phone charges may vary) and at selected travel agents. Value-for-money Rail&Fly tickets can be purchased from Germania for travel to and from the airport on the Deutsche Bahn network. Holiday packages including flights and hotels are available from Germania Holidays via the website www.holidays-germania.com depending on the customer’s wishes, further arrangements such as day trips, car rentals, transfers and travel insurance can also be added. All prices quoted include tax and fees, as well as the legally-required air travel surcharge.
